A’mour does not hire gowns, but we do offer a “Help to Sell” service for brides who wish to sell their dress after their wedding. Given that we also sell a range of very reasonably priced dresses, coupled with our “Help to Sell” service, it can often work out more cost effective than a hire option, in the end.
A’mour does not charge storage fees unless wedding dates change.
This depends on the designer, but usually it is between two and four months. Where time is short, we can order in a rush but this is at extra cost to the bride to jump the queue in the factory schedules.
Yes, A’mour is continually having sample gown sales, as we are always updating our stock to bring in new Styles. There are always Bargains to be had ……look out for them on our website.
We take care to ask at your first appointment if any friends or relatives have previously purchased from A’mour. If they have, then we avoid showing you the gown they have chosen. Note also that our more expensive gowns are normally “one offs”. In addition, because we deal with designers who are exclusive to A’mour, brides cannot source the same dress anywhere else in KZN. This protects your ‘million dollar’ look for your big day !!
No, the alterations to the dress are very varied in scope across all the brides we deal with. We can give you a rough estimate (+/- 25%) at your initial appointment, based on past experience, but the final decision on cost rests with our expert seamstresses.
No, your deposit is non-refundable though from time to time we have helped brides purchase an alternative dress where she has changed her mind, unless her dress is already in production, of course.
Yes, A’mour does offer a cleaning service for your gown after the wedding
You can bring four guests to a VIP appointment and three to a standard appointment.. We find too many guests can be quite distracting for the bride. Exceptionally, this can be discussed if there is someone special a bride would like to include in her guest list.

Yes A’mour does offer discounts. You will see discounted sample dresses on our website and sometimes these dresses can be under R10,000.
Our stylists have to prepare your appointment and will spend up to two and a half hours with you to guide you with their expertise, so as to ensure your optimal choice of dress. The stylist has been trained and is providing a professional service. Hence, we obviously have to charge for her expertise.
Yes we do………. sometimes a bride is a little unsure and needs to think about her choice. So we help where we can.
We would recommend your journey starts between 6 to 9 months before your wedding. This will avoid any rush fee costs, so long as you choose fairly decisively on this horizon.
We are open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 8:30am to 5pm.
