Alterations
Our expert in house seamstress will work her magic to ensure a flawless fit for your special day.
Alterations will commence approximately 4 to 6 weeks prior to your wedding, and will be tailored to your specific needs.
Costs
While alteration costs are not included in the dress price, our team will provide an approximate quote after your initial appointment, where details such as straps, adjustments, taking in side seams if required, darts, hems and bustle options (including wrist or full bustle) to keep your dress up in the evening, so you can party.
Veils
You will also have an opportunity to select the perfect veil to compliment your dress . You may choose from our range of ready made veils, or decide to have one custom made to perfectly match your gown, giving a flawless overall look.
The Alteration Process
We’ll guide you through the process, explaining everything clearly so you feel confident and prepared.
A second fitting scheduled about a week before your wedding will finalise the perfect fit with any last tweaks.
After this, you can take your dress home, or arrange for someone to collect it before your big day, giving you one less thing to worry about!
Help to Sell Your Dress Service
Some Brides wish to sell their wedding dress once they are married. A’mour offers a service to help brides sell their wedding dress, on selected dresses.
The service entails leaving your gown with A’mour for a period of up to four months having agreed a price you would like to achieve.
A’mour takes a percentage of the proceeds as per our Help to Sell contract.
A’mour reserves the right to decide on whether a dress is suitable for the Help to Sell service.
Cleaning Service
A’mour offers a cleaning service for brides who would like to have their dress cleaned after their wedding.
Dress Repairs
Don’t worry about your dress getting a little damaged on the big day! Our dress repair service is here to help.
Whether it’s a small tear or a missing button, we can restore your gown to 100% condition so you can treasure it, or consider selling it through our “Help to Sell” your dress service.
This will be discussed with you when you purchase your dress and is a great option for brides who don’t wish to keep their dress forever!
